These Terms govern Vibe Rater’s iPhone app, guest web experience, and related services. “Vibe Rater,” “we,” and “us” mean ThinkForge AI LLC, the legal entity identified as the seller on Vibe Rater’s App Store product page. Contact us at hello@getviberater.app.
Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the licensed iPhone app. If these Terms conflict with Apple’s standard EULA about the licensed app, Apple’s standard EULA controls to the extent required.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Vibe Rater. Do not use the service if you do not agree to these Terms.
Vibe Rater helps a private group split a restaurant bill. Participants rate how each other shaped the shared evening. Ratings can adjust each share within a cap chosen by the host, from an even split to a maximum 25% adjustment. The calculated shares always add up to the entered bill total.
Vibe Rater is not a bank, payment processor, money transmitter, accountant, tax adviser, or dispute-resolution service. Vibe Rater never receives, holds, or transfers the group’s money. Any payment happens directly between participants or through a third-party payment app under that provider’s terms.
Receipt scanning happens on the device. You are responsible for checking the bill, participant list, payment contributions, and resulting amounts before anyone pays.
Hosts sign in with Apple. Guests join through a private, expiring link and do not create an account. Treat an invite link like a key and send it only to people who belong at that table.
Tables expire seven days after creation. Expiry ends access; it does not reverse or modify a result that participants already used to settle with each other.
Ratings and comments must concern the shared evening, not a person’s protected characteristics, safety, or human worth. Comments are optional, limited to 160 characters, and never affect the bill calculation.
Do not submit threats, harassment, hate, sexual content involving minors, private personal information, unlawful material, impersonation, malicious links, or content that infringes another person’s rights.
Vibe Rater may filter, warn on, hide, review, or remove content; restrict a participant; suspend an account; or preserve information when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or comply with law. Participants can report a comment or table and block another participant for that table.
Comments are not attributed to their author when results are shown, but they are not technically anonymous. Vibe Rater retains authorship so reporting and moderation work.
Keep your device and Apple account secure. You can delete your Vibe Rater account from the Account screen. Deletion revokes the stored Sign in with Apple authorization, ends active host sessions, removes the durable Apple identifier from the account record, and severs that account’s participant links.
Some table and settlement history remains because it also belongs to other participants and may be needed to preserve a result already used to settle. The Privacy Policy explains this in detail.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We will not intentionally change a completed table’s monetary result after it locks.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vibe Rater is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vibe Rater is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; a participant’s payment or non-payment; third-party payment services; incorrect information entered by users; or disputes among participants.
Applicable consumer-protection and other mandatory laws continue to apply. Any dispute not resolved informally will be handled by a court with lawful jurisdiction. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive a right to participate in a class action where that right exists.
